Support Anja Pawson and John Cooper's petition to repair and improve Kineton Road's Pavement
Local campaigners Anja Pawson and John Cooper have brought to the attention of Birmingham City Council the hazardous state of Kineton Road's pavement. They highlight the urgent need for assessment and repair work, following multiple incidents of trips, falls, and minor injuries experienced by residents.
The pavement on Kineton Road is in a deteriorated condition, featuring uneven surfaces, divots, bumps, and mounds, posing particular challenges for families with prams, wheelchair users, and elderly residents.
In October 2024, Anja and John requested the Council to carry out pavement repairs similar to those on nearby Haselor and Welford Road. Regrettably, the Council's response indicated that the pavement had been assessed and found not to require immediate attention or pose any danger at that time.
Disagreeing with this assessment, Anja and John believe the pavement remains a significant hazard. To demonstrate the importance of this issue for local residents, they have initiated a petition.
We urge you to lend your support by signing the below petition and backing the campaign for a safer, improved pavement on Kineton Road.
