Petition to install a Pedestrian Crossing at Sutton Town Hall

Cllr David Pears meeting with Local Campaigners William Glover and Glenton Easy to discuss a safe crossing at Sutton Town Hall.

Cllr David Pears is running a petition to call upon Birmingham City Council to introduce a safe Pedestrian Crossing at the Town Hall.

Over the years, the need for a safe pedestrian crossing by the Town Hall for the safety of visitors and staff has been identified. A crossing would also make it safer for residents to travel to the railway station, especially during rush hour where both rail and road use is greatly increased.

As a trustee of the Town Hall, Councillor David Pears said "I am a regular visitor and see more and more often the need for a crossing."

"This was reinforced during the Covid-19 pandemic when the Town Hall served as a Covid Inoculation Centre and a temporary crossing was installed."

"If you agree with me that action is required to make the roads around our Town Hall safer, please support this petition."
