Cllr Leeford Allen - Wylde Green

Leeford Allen has lived in Sutton Coldfield for many years. He lives on Plants Brook Road and is now retired. ‘‘My reasons for standing as a Conservative Parish Council candidate are firstly to work hard with my fellow councillors to maintain our heritage in Royal Sutton Coldfield. My second reason is to stand up for residents interest. We need to make this Parish Council a big success to set us apart from Birmingham as a truly special place and an ancient Royal Town.

Leeford was elected as one of the first Parish Councillors for the Royal Town in May 2016.

Cllr Dr. Nitish Raut - Mere Green

Dr. Nitish Raut has lived in Sentry Way for 8 years. He is married and has two children. He works as a Consultant in NHS.  I am passionate about maintaining our green belt and looking after the health of our people. Cllr Keith Ward - Trinity

Keith Ward lives on Wheatmore Road. ‘‘I have lived in Sutton all of my life. I have run one of the Town's best known pubs (The Station) for 13 years and am a board member for the Sutton Coldfield Business Improvement District. It was my involvement with the BID that made me want to stand for the Parish Council. Sutton needs local people with local knowledge backed up by an experienced and organised party.

Cllr Joanne Ellis- Walmley & Minworth

Joanne Ellis moved to Sutton when she was just two years old and lives on Walmley Road. She went to school at St Joseph’s, Bishop Walsh and the College of Further Education. ‘‘I want Royal Sutton Coldfield to be a place where people are proud to live and work. My priorities are litter and recycling; the care of Sutton Park, and the maintenance of the Town Hall as a place for everyone to enjoy.

Cllr Derrick Griffin - Walmley & Minworth

Derrick Griffin lives on Allendale Road in Walmley   Village and has since 1968. ‘‘My daughters went to Walmley First and Middle School, during their time there I was chairman of the Parents Association and I then served for one year on the John Wilmott Parent Teacher Association. Since retiring in 1993 I have been    secretary/treasurer of my old Regimental Association in Birmingham.

Cllr Terry Wood - Walmley & Minworth

Terry Wood lives in Henley Close and is Chairman of Wylde Green Neighbourhood Forum. ‘‘My priority is to help to work with local residents to help Sutton to thrive as a successful independent Town. I want to ensure we as Council Tax payers get value for money.

Cllr Janet Cairns - Vesey

Janet Cairns lives on Morven Road and is a qualified nurse and works as a healthcare consultant within the NHS and has done for many years (since she we 18). ‘‘What I will bring to the Council is a voice and empathy into issues surrounding disability. Having been a Govenor at Wilson Stuart School which  specialises in the education of children with special needs and having a daughter with cerebral palsy I will offer a unique insight.

Cllr David Allan - Trinity

David Allan has lived in Sutton Coldfield for 45 years with his wife and four children. David is a Chartered Engineer with a career in the UK electricity industry culminating as the manager of a large power station and as an engineering consultant. He was also a Governor of Bishop Vesey for eight years.

Cllr Jackie Cummins - Mere Green

Jackie lives locally and runs a small business which helps other businesses and individuals to develop and grow. Jackie is actively involved in a number of community organisations, the business community and was very proud to be elected as a Town Councillor for Mere Green in 2018.

Cllr Jane Mosson - Roughley

Jane Mosson has lived in Four Oaks for many years and has a grandson at a local primary school. ‘‘We are privileged to live in a beautiful area and I want to help to make sure it remains that way. I would like to see enhanced cleaning and extra bins throughout the area. I have worked in management within mail order, IT, tele-communications and currently in shop fitting and am used to working to budgets and keeping costs down.

“Before retiring I enjoyed working as a senior nurse in a variety of community settings, eventually totalling 32 years for the NHS.

Cllr Simon Ward - Four Oaks

Simon Ward has lived in Four Oaks for 16 years and raised his family here. ‘‘I am an accountant by training and am a partner in my own corporate finance practice, advising   growing  businesses. Outside work and family I am a keen runner and a member of the finance committee of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. I see the new council as a great opportunity for our local voice to be heard.

Cllr Ewan Mackey - Roughley

Ewan Mackey is married with two children aged 9 and 15 and runs two successful businesses, supplying equipment to emergency services and DVD transfer business. He has lived on Lichfield Road for 18 years and represents this area on Birmingham City Council. ‘‘I am standing because I believe this Parish Council needs strong Conservative leadership to make it a success.

Cllr Harry Parmar - Roughley

Harry lives locally and works for a large international company, managing finance. Harry is also involved in the local community through a number of organisations and works hard to get young people more involved in sport.
