David Allan has lived in Sutton Coldfield for 45 years with his wife and four children. David is a Chartered Engineer with a career in the UK electricity industry culminating as the manager of a large power station and as an engineering consultant. He was also a Governor of Bishop Vesey for eight years.
Derrick Griffin lives on Allendale Road in Walmley Village and has since 1968. ‘‘My daughters went to Walmley First and Middle School, during their time there I was chairman of the Parents Association and I then served for one year on the John Wilmott Parent Teacher Association. Since retiring in 1993 I have been secretary/treasurer of my old Regimental Association in Birmingham.
Dr. Nitish Raut has lived in Sentry Way for 8 years. He is married and has two children. He works as a Consultant in NHS. I am passionate about maintaining our green belt and looking after the health of our people. My active involvement with various community groups while organising health awareness drives, made me want to stand for the Parish Council.
Ewan is a Town and City Councillor representing Sutton Roughley Ward, covering Harvest Fields, Moor Hall, Whitehouse Common and the Defence Estates. He has lived on Lichfield Road for over 25 years with his wife Julia and his two children. He runs his own businesses capturing and transcoding video and producing safety and rescue equipment for the emergency services.
Harry lives locally and works for a large international company, managing finance. Harry is also involved in the local community through a number of organisations and works hard to get young people more involved in sport.
Jackie lives locally and runs a small business which helps other businesses and individuals to develop and grow. Jackie is actively involved in a number of community organisations, the business community and was very proud to be elected as a Town Councillor for Mere Green in 2018.
Jane Mosson has lived in Four Oaks for many years and has a grandson at a local primary school. ‘‘We are privileged to live in a beautiful area and I want to help to make sure it remains that way. I would like to see enhanced cleaning and extra bins throughout the area. I have worked in management within mail order, IT, tele-communications and currently in shop fitting and am used to working to budgets and keeping costs down.
Janet Cairns lives on Morven Road and is a qualified nurse and works as a healthcare consultant within the NHS and has done for many years (since she we 18). ‘‘What I will bring to the Council is a voice and empathy into issues surrounding disability. Having been a Govenor at Wilson Stuart School which specialises in the education of children with special needs and having a daughter with cerebral palsy I will offer a unique insight.
